This week the kindergarteners learned the color blue and read the book “Baby Beluga” as well as learned the song.  So, their Friday arts & craft project was to create their own Baby Beluga using a small clay pot, foam, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and rhinestones.  Since their dexterity and attention span are not as developed as needed for this task, they painted the clay pots (which resulted in a big blue mess) and I ended up constructing all 24 whales while they ate popsicles and then napped before pick-up. Nonetheless, we had, dare I say, a whale of a time!
